CANVA FAQ AND TIPS

First steps

Complete your edits on a desktop computer or laptop. Google Chrome is our recommended browser as it is most efficient with Canva, our editing software of choice. 

Selecting your size

All designs are supplied in US and European International ‘A’ sizes. Please be sure that you are editing the correct size for your region. If you need a different size, please reach our by contacting us through our contact tab or emailing us at [email protected]

Editing Text

All text can be edited. You can also add a text box if more is needed. The color and size of the font can be changed. Tip: some designs have a lot of layers, if you’re having trouble selecting the text or icon that you wish to edit - try first locking some of the other layers near the item in the layer menu .

Background Color

Most of our designs have a background color added. This can be changed or deleted if you want to leave the paper natural, or if using a colored paper.

Illustrations

Simply click on our illustrations and you will be able to change its color. Select Change All at the bottom of the color panel popup menu to apply the color to all illustrations. To replace an illustration, copy the illustration you wish to use, and paste into your design. Or add more by simply dragging an image into the design or clicking , upload files, then click or drag into your design.

Duplicating a Page

Especially important for table numbers and place card settings - you can duplicate a page, click at the top of the page. Your page and artwork has now been duplicated. This i show you can create unlimited table numbers and place settings. Simply update the number or name for each duplicated page.

Downloading

For digital templates select JPG or PNGs.
For print select PDF.

For professional printing:
Select , then . Most printers will require: so the design will run neatly to the edge. Some will add their own so please ask them what they require!

For home printing:     
Select , then and in the file type dropdown select . Add
if you will be printing and trimming to size. We suggest selecting CMYK as the color profile but this is a feature only included with Canva Pro.

If you are not satisfied with the quality of your download, message me and I can download higher quality then transfer the file to you. I will try to get this to you as quick as possible, but wait times may vary.              

Finally, double sided designs can be hard to line-up at home so we recommend professionally printing.

Print Guide by Printelle

You can edit all colors, and change all text. All illustrations can be moved, scaled, or deleted. If your template includes our Printelle Illustration Library, all illustrations included in your template can be replaced. You can also add other images or photos.

Page orientation or template size cannot be changed. Printelle provides most templates in both EU and US Sizes. If you need a size that isn't listed in the item description, please reach out!

Templates are a simple way to get professionally designed event stationery at a fraction of the cost. Once purchased, you will access the editing software Canva, where you can easily update your details and change colors to match your event.

Once your design is finished, save and download it as a PDF or JPEG for electronic sending. You’ll have the option to include bleed and crop marks. Be sure to check with your print shop, as some may have specific requirements regarding crop marks.

All templates come in Inches and A sizes (cm) Please make sure you edit the size for your region. Please refer to the 'What's Included?" listing photo, or the listing description for exact dimensions.

While editing is possible on a mobile device, I would recommend using a desktop to ensure your event stationery is perfect.
